Live edge/waney Edge Chopping board hand crafted from a local slab of kiln dried Sycamore Heartwood.
This is the heartwood of a Sycamore tree and has a beautiful reddish-brown colour throughout.

This was a unique and rare slab which has yielded a few different chopping boards with different sizes
 
Boards have been given a treatment of epoxy resin for a few small splits to stabilise them and have given them a few amazing dark lines.

The boards have been sealed with premium food grade mineral oil and finished with my own blend of mineral oil and beeswax to give a flat and protective sheen.

All of these boards are unique and the grain/edge varies in each board.

Note: Due to these being a natural product, please do not submerge the boards in water or in a dishwasher as this will lead to bowing and cracking of the board.
Over time as the chopping boards are used they will naturally dry and need to be conditioned with beeswax or mineral oil to keep it preserved and looking fresh
