PUMA IP 8" chef knife

PUMA IP 8" chef knife

£189.00Price

The 4 cm wide and 19 cm long blade of the "chef's knife" can be used universally, but is especially designed for cutting meat and fish. Thanks to its pleasant feel, this chef's knife shows its advantages particularly when larger quantities are to be processed.

The chef's knives from the PUMA IP series come from a design by the German knife maker and specialist book author Ernst Siebeneicher-Hellwig and combine high Japanese blade quality with the advantages of a modern design.
Every single copy is made with the greatest care from the best materials. The blade has 67 rustproof layers, with the core made of Japanese V-Gold No.10 High Carbon stainless steel (VG10). This is a very hard and durable knife steel. The layers on the VG10 core consist of 33 layers per side, with the Japanese steels SUS 430 and SUS 431 alternating. The blade is ice-hardened to approx. 60 HRC and is characterized by excellent edge retention, which keeps the knife sharp for a long time.
The handle is made of non-warping Pakka wood. Due to these properties and the high processing quality, each knife is ideally suited for all cutting work in the kitchen
