This recipe for garlic chicken thighs is one of my family's favorites. It's sweetened with honey, flavored with loads of garlic, and topped off with cilantro. This chicken is great served over cooked rice to soak up the sauce.

Ingredients
8 (5 ounce) boneless chicken thighs
salt and ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
½ medium onion, finely chopped
7 cloves garlic, chopped, or to taste
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
1 pinch onion powder, or to taste
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Cook’s Note
Skin-on or skinless chicken thighs will work in this recipe. You can use 1 entire medium head of garlic, chopped, instead of cloves.
If serving over rice, plan on about 3 to 4 cups uncooked rice to feed everyone and soak up the extra sauce.
Garnish with fresh parsley instead of cilantro if you like.
